Life and Landscape

Earlier this year, South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty commissioned Soundart Radio to produce a 5 part series, and 10 shorter Estuary Tales, working in partnership with photographer David Harbott.

The Lonely Arts Club

Come and see work produced by Arts Award students aged 11-15 including collage, textiles, film, animation and radio.
Both exhibitions run throughout Totnes Festival

Introduction to Radio

Monday 5th and Friday 9th September, 11am - 1pm . Workshops for anyone interested in producing their own radio show, covering sound recording and editing. All welcome, please book in advance. £5/£3  

Totnes Festival Choir

Join Karen for fun workshops to enjoy your voice, build confidence and singing ability, and work towards a live radio broadcast on Sunday evening. All voices welcome, for harmony singing from many traditions. Sunday 4th September, 2:30-5pm, at Birdwood House Totnes, everybody welcome. Subsequent workshops at Soundart Radio: 11am-1pm on Tuesday 6th September and 7-9pm on Thursday 8th, final workshop and broadcast, Sunday 11th 3-5:30 pm. All sessions £7/£5

Walk and Draw

10-3pm Sunday 4th September
The first of our Walk and Draw events, which will take place on the 1st Sunday of the month throughout this Autumn. An opportunity to explore new approaches to landscape drawing. Led by Stormsmith Nomi, you will be guided through a series of exercises in looking and mark making, which will enable you to come away with a composite drawing. £30/£20

Hallsands

Saturday 3rd, from 7pm. This new work from Sam Richards deals with the collapse of the South Devon village in 1917 after dredging along the coast, told through songs, monologues, projections and improvised music, complementing our life and landscape exhibition. £5/£3

Totnes Monster

Monday 5th, from 6pm. An evening of live, drop in sessions from local bands and musicians, including some of the best from their summer sessions. Presented by Chris and Shannon of the long running Totnes Monster live music show. Call in to join the studio audience, or listen at home.  £5/£3

Saturday 10th, 9am-midnight. An opportunity for all to contribute to their local, independent community radio station. Get in touch now if you can donate a promise or gift to inspire donations from callers. Help us to keep independent and democratic local radio thriving in Totnes.
