First Spark Radio Festival 2012
Soundart Radio's First Spark festival marked the rebirth of the cold earth, as it awakens from a wintry sleep. Soundart and friends celebrated the increasing warmth and light - the beginning of spring - by reviving Imbolc traditions, both homely and community rituals. The 2012 festival also focused upon the theme of improvisation.
Soundart, from 1 to 5 February, broadcast sound interpretations of the ancient festivals of Candlemas and Imbolc from local and worldwide communities.
