The Wrong Music Radio Show has been broadcasting on Soundart Radio for around three years. We started with a weekly two hour show, then after a brief hiatus we now present a monthly two hour show.
We originally got involved with the station after being interviewed on Karis Baker's show. After the interview we were invited to produce our own show and we leapt at the opportunity.
We play a wide range of music, the main focus being new or soon-to-be-released experimental and forward thinking dance and electronica, but we also play rock and metal, hip hop, folk, film soundtracks.. anything that we think deserves an audience. We usually feature a guest mix in each show as well. Soundart have been incredibly supportive of what we do and give us the freedom to play the music that we think is important.
We've also featured interviews and have had guests on the show from time to time. Guests in the past have included; Ninja Tune artist King Cannibal, Metronomy, The Countryside Alliance Crew, 2000AD artist and creator of The Losers, Jock, plus many other friends, DJs and musicians.
The show is presented by Ben Hudson, Toby French and Hannah Drayson.
Ben Hudson, aka Ebola and one half of Baconhead produces electronic music, has released a stack of records over the past ten years and regularly performs at clubs and festivals around the globe. He was a founding member of the Brighton-based Wrong Music label and also produces soundtracks and jingles for film, TV and computer games.
Toby French has performed and recorded under the alias of Judith Priest, having released on a number of labels and has performed at festivals and clubs across Europe.
