The station is a registered Arts Award Centre, currently delivering Bronze and Silver awards, for students aged between 11 and 25 years.
We create a fun, informal and safe learning environment, which is ideal for young people who may not thrive in conventional settings. We use radio both as an art form, and as a means of documenting work and experiences - for example, students host arts magazine shows where they review exhibitions they have been to, or take a sound recorder out to an event to interview artists.
Recently we have been working with children who are home educated, young people in care, and students with learning disabilities. The Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification, that is uniquely creative and child led. Find out more at www.artsaward.org.uk
